I recently purchased Gran Turisimo 4 and after such a long wait, was annoyed to see that it does not have an online play option.
However it does have a LAN linkup option and thanks to these super people I need not be annoyed any more. They have written a windows* client. You install it and if your PS2 is plugged into the same network as the machine running the client, you can now pretend that any other users also runing the client and wanting to play the same game as you, anywhere in the world, are on the same LAN.
In short, I could now play GT4 with up to 5 other real people from the comfort of my living room without having to lug my PS2 around and a TV. It looks like there is a good community on there too.
Needless to say I’m quite excited by this. My wireless bridge comes tomorrow so I’ll install the client on the laptop and check it out
*actually it’s cross platform

*wah!* my copy has been delayed, should be shipped tomorrow will probably get it next week. I also noticed xlink today, this might finally force me to buy a network adapter! Wonder what the ping times from Melbourne to London would be like? Care to RACE?

my friend recently purchased Gran Turisimo 4. The manual and the game itself is in Japanese. Is there any way you can point me out to a website where I can download it in English? Any help is much appreciated.
