Breaking bread with Warren Buffett, one of the world’s most successful investors, could be seen as among the best business lunches around.

Keenly aware of his own market value, Mr Buffett has put a lunch with himself up on auction website eBay in the name of charity and demand is booming.

With three days of bidding still to go, the price has hit $250,100.

For that, the lucky bidder and seven guests get to eat and listen to Mr Buffett’s plain-spoken investor advice.

All the proceeds from the auction will go to the Glide Foundation, which provides services to the poor and homeless in San Francisco.

Does he pay the bill? I’d hope so.
