As we hold 4 ‘gallery’ seats in the new West stand at Leyton Orient football club I was proud to represent my company Exponetic today as I attended the first ever Friends of the Orient meeting.
Friends of the Orient is designed to promote mutual trade between its members and the local community by using their interest in sporting activities as a common factor.
It is hoped that by increasing business relationships the football club can become more successful such that it is once again a focal point for the local community.
After an introduction from chairman Barry Hearn, who spoke about the investment made by the club into the local community, there were presentations by other club members who explained how the Orient connection had helped them win business worth tens of thousands of pounds.
I’ll be attending further meetings and look forward to the start of the 2005/2006 season.
Up the O’s!
