Consuming the cricket coverage

General

Like a lot of people in the UK - and Australia of course - I’ve been listening and watching to as much of the Ashes as possible this summer, especially as England are *actually doing well*, although I guess that was the hope after the last few good series results.

I’ve been really impressed with the Channel 4 Ashes coverage. If it was on the TV previously I would put TMS on and turned the TV volume down. But recently I’ve been listening to the tv commentary more. I’m also no longer listening on Longwave but on BBC 5 live sport extra on the kitchen DAB radio. But I’m still leaving the TV on in the lounge so I can run in and see any wickets. Due to the lag between the digital radio and the analogue TV it’s a bit annoying, though.

Sky have the rights for further live cricket coverage, just when it seemed more people are taking an interest. I have Sky for the footie but it does seem a shame that I wont be able to pick it up on any old TV (e.g. at work).

Come on England.
