Cheese heaven

General

Just a quick note to highly recommend the Snowdonia Cheese Company ‘Red Devil’ cheese. I would link to the cheese direct but their website isn’t geared up for that, grr.

I fell in love with it when we were on a recent break but the small chunk we bought got snaffled in minutes. Luckly for me Mrs Bealers brought about five ‘truckles’ of their different cheeses recently at the Malvern Spring Gardening Show; I get to have the chilli one all to my self, Yummy! Although being somone one on a small Weight Reduction Eating Regime (the D word is banned) I only get to have a chunk now and again.

Incidentally the WRER is going well and I’ve lost around 6 of the 12 pounds that I want to get me to my arbitrary ideal weight (basically so my suit doesn’t feel tight again). I’m finding that if I don’t eat too much actual food during the day then I am still able to consume a healthy amount of ale. Priorities and all that.

According to my resident WRER expert, according to Weight Watchers (aka Fat Fighters) lager is 2 points, a bitter 3, a strong ale more. A dairy milk is about 5 points. Bear in mind WW is fat weighted.

So - beer or chocolate? do you want crisps with that beer?

Well I can easily live without choc as I seem to be blessed with a savoury as opposed to sweet tooth.

It’s annoying that ale is loads of points, though. I only recently got the taste for it after years of lager drinking.
