This was taken on my phone, a Nokia N93, as I was standing on a wall on the side of The A4104 between Holly Green (where I live) and [...]

We recently watched a guy from BBC News 24 doing an interview outside our house telling us that the levels are likley to rise, which is worrying. Anyway, here’s some photos plus more on my facebook Above: the car parked closest is outside our house

Thankfully there are some excellent flood defences in place so the town is still usable (unlike the main road to Malvern) and [...]

The Upton Jazz Festival is this coming weekend and we’ve thrown open our house for people to stay over, either in the house or camping in the garden. If the weather holds out then it should be good family fun and a weekend long BBQ. If I already know you and you’re going to be in [...]

Why I didn’t like Center Parcs

12. March 2007

Cathie and I spent last week at Center Parcs, Penrith, in the Lake district with the kids. If I had to sum it up in one word then without question that word would be Babylon. It would be an understatement to say that I didn’t rate the experience: it was overpriced - but I was expecting [...]

Buono estente. Acording to the BBC local weather page for my area it’s going to continue to be hot for the coming week: Heatwave conditions with very hot sunshine and light east windflow. Very high temperatures expected for all. Warm muggy nights. Hazy early each morning-tide. Humidity low at first then rising later. Maximum temperature 31-32c 88-90f [...]

So, I’ve lived ‘in the country’ for a week week now and I can’t say that I miss London that much. My summary of the past week is as follows: Living out of boxes really sucks The kids are pretty hyper. They’ve spent the past 3 years in nursery most of the time and now they have to [...]
