The best football chant ever

I went with Karl to see Orient play last night. I soon realised just how much I miss being able to go to regular games, but seeing as it’s my only regret about leaving London, I can live with it. Anyway, the game was really exciting to start off with both sides giving a good account [...]

In 45 mins time England play Portugal in the World Cup quarter finals against Portugal. Lampard WILL score first and we’ll win (my tenner on willhill.com says so at 9/1) , narrowly, avoiding a dreaded penalty shoot-out. My friends Kurt and Sara at Fresh01 have gone one step further than the car flag, check ou this screenshot [...]

A great 0-0

I just finished watching Arsenal knock Real Madrid out of the champions league and what a cracking match it was. They’ve had a ropey league form but they were immense tonight (and two weeks ago) and they totaly deserve to be through to the 1/4 finals. I certainly can’t recall a more exciting 0-0 draw. (and for [...]

Painful Investigations

This article carries the headline: “Brum promise internal Butt probe” which relates to stories that Nicky Butt stropped off before a recent match because he wasn’t in the starting line-up. I would guess that someone is having a laugh in the Editorial team. On a related note apparently Butt has subsequently been fined 2 weeks wages for [...]

You’re in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have. The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses. It [...]

Paul Connor signs for the O’s

31. January 2006

We’ve just signed a tall striker! He was in one of last year’s promotion clubs, Swansea City and has just signed with the O’s for £40K. It was well known that we needed some height and now we have some. Annoyingly he can’t play in the away game tonight at Bristol Rovers (that I’m going to) [...]

First post in ages, work has been mental. I just got back from watching Leyton Orient (FA League division 2) boot Fulham FC (FA Premiership) out of the FA Cup in the third round. What a great game. There were around 6000 O’s supporters there to watch the game that saw us go 2-0 up by half time [...]

Gazza kicked out

Gazza is no longer the manager of Kettering Town. Paul Gascoigne has denied claims from Kettering owner Imraan Ladak that his position as manager was made untenable because he had begun drinking again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/4501572.stm I’m not so sure about that, take a listen to this interview. Cringeworthy.

I was at the Orient vs. Yeovil game on Tuesday night. There wasn’t much of a crowd which is ironic seeing as it was the best game I’ve seen them play all season. Anyway, at one point I noticed a whole bank of seats in the south stand with just one guy sat in them, the [...]
