Painful Investigations

15. February 2006

This article carries the headline: “Brum promise internal Butt probe” which relates to stories that Nicky Butt stropped off before a recent match because he wasn’t in the starting line-up. I would guess that someone is having a laugh in the Editorial team. On a related note apparently Butt has subsequently been fined 2 weeks wages for [...]

The offside rule explained for girls

You’re in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have. The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses. It [...]

Paul Connor signs for the O’s

31. January 2006

We’ve just signed a tall striker! He was in one of last year’s promotion clubs, Swansea City and has just signed with the O’s for £40K. It was well known that we needed some height and now we have some. Annoyingly he can’t play in the away game tonight at Bristol Rovers (that I’m going to) [...]

I stumbled upon http://www.ukbassradio.co.uk tonight and it looks pretty good. I normally use Drum and Bass arena if I want to listen to a stream but that site has two problems: They’ve obviously gone for Windows at the back-end so I have to use media player, which is not ideal There is no live stream, one has to [...]

First post in ages, work has been mental. I just got back from watching Leyton Orient (FA League division 2) boot Fulham FC (FA Premiership) out of the FA Cup in the third round. What a great game. There were around 6000 O’s supporters there to watch the game that saw us go 2-0 up by half time [...]

Gazza kicked out

Gazza is no longer the manager of Kettering Town. Paul Gascoigne has denied claims from Kettering owner Imraan Ladak that his position as manager was made untenable because he had begun drinking again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/4501572.stm I’m not so sure about that, take a listen to this interview. Cringeworthy.

An ambitious yuppie finally decided to take a vacation…

An ambitious yuppie finally decided to take a vacation. He booked himself on a Caribbean cruise and proceeded to have the time of his life. Until the boat sank. The man found himself swept up on the shore of an island with no other people, no supplies, . . . nothing. Only bananas and coconuts. After about four months, he [...]

Hooray! This morning I finished ripping all of our CD collection into iTunes. It’s taken months, mainly because there were huge gaps where I just couldn’t be bothered but now it’s done and it was really worth the hassle. The stats are: 35.06 GB 57.9 days worth 8343 tracks 655 Albums (this includes EP’s and singles) 329 artists Next thing is to do a [...]

Billy no mates

I was at the Orient vs. Yeovil game on Tuesday night. There wasn’t much of a crowd which is ironic seeing as it was the best game I’ve seen them play all season. Anyway, at one point I noticed a whole bank of seats in the south stand with just one guy sat in them, the [...]

Leyton Orient 2 - Torquay 1

The O’s rocked on Tuesday night with a convincing win over Torquay United. The O’s have a fantastic away record but the last 3 or 4 home games have been pants so it was excellent to see quality football at home again. Shane Tudor was my MOM with easton a close second. Jabo put on some [...]
